There is a cool pic of an STG with 100 rd. Beta mag on Oleg Volk's site.
Here's the link: http://olegvolk.livejournal.com/1176230.html |

Has anyone actually bought one and tried it out. I have one of the xfal 50 rounders that works great. It'd be neat to have 100 rounds on tap, although a bit heavy.

Hearing protection for noise enhancement while using a suppressor, huh?
My suppressed M14 is quiter than a 22 short shooting GMM 162g BTHP's.

He's gonna wish he had a chicken mitt if he needs to move toward the end of his drum...

Let's see...:
Spend $470 to carry 10 pounds of .308 ammo and not have to reload, but be completely boned if the mag malfunctions; Or spend $470 to get 5 mags, the ammo to fill them, the pouches to put them in and an inexpensive MOLLE chest rig to hang the pouches on and a #3 combo from Sonic.... Tough choice. :P |

Oh I don't know, if firing from a fixed, well revetted and protected position, I could see it. But in a shoot and scoot situation? Your screwed.
Besides. Drums are just cool. (I wonder if anyone has thought about a drum for the M-82A1/M-107?) |

I've played with one my friend got for his HK-91. HEAVY is the only way to describe it, and that was empty. Once loaded it's an anchor. But who's gonna argue with 100 rnds of 308?
