K-98 repro sling

Are these leather slings about the same style as original BGS, G1 or STG 58 slings? Classic Arms is selling some for $20. They look very similar in the pics. The end that attaches to the butt swivel looks a little different though. It's shown under their K-98 tab.

I got my repos from firebalxxx on e-bay for $19 each. Great seller and great sling. Another thread in the list indicated that the K98 slings are correct for the BGS - and i will assume by extension the G1.

K98 slings are shorter and have an extra hole in them. In the picture below, the first sling on the left is an original K98 sling. Beside it is an original STG58 sling.

Yep, STG slings are about, what 6-8" longer then K-98 slings?

The K-98 slings work on a STG FAL, but dont have allot of extra slack.

Also, the K-98 slings that I have seen do not have the metal button piece to attach sling at bottom sling swivel.

I had some extras from chicom ak/sks slings that I used.
