Thumbs up SA-58 Trigger

just an FYI to everyone that doesn't like the factory trigger...
I purchased a trigger replacement from JARD, with the 3 1/2# spring and took my SA-58 to one of the local gunsmiths here in Austin, and I've got to say that the new trigger was worth every penny spent.

The gunsmith charged me exactly $100 to install and test it. I'm impressed with the clean crisp trigger that I now have...It's an amazing difference, I highly recommend the upgrade...

not to be rude but if there difference in the trigger was the spring and maybe already done to the trigger before you got to the Smith... why the $100 charge?

the kit replaces the complete assembly. The kit contains a spring, trigger and a new hammer.

There are also a couple adjustment screws that need to be set.

My objective would be to drop te trigger pull from 10 to 6 lbs. seems like most replacements drop it to 4 lbs or less. I have no desire for a hair trigger on such a rifle, not for my purposes.

Any kits drop it to 5-8 lb range?

The link he gave says the trigger is adjustable, and it says you can buy different springs to change the weight of the pull.

They list 4.5 lbs, which is close to 5. I'm guessing you could get a different spring from them than just the three options listed.
