You need a C2 gas block which is next to impossible to find. Then in order to fold the bipod up you would need to remove the handguards.

In theory, and with the talent of a few 'smiths here, you could sleeve an L1A1 barrel and add the rear bipod hanger, or make a one-off to fit the skinnier L1A1 barrel. A front bipod mount could be fabricated and welded onto an L1A1 gasblock, or if you could ever find the rare C2/L2A1 gasblock, you could sleeve an L1A1 barrel. Or have an L2A1 barrel made from a blank to fit the HB parts . Don't forget the offset carry handle needed because of the increased front weight. And the bigger sling swivel and longer sling. But by this time, you might as well find a L2A1 front end or complete kit.

You'd hate te C2 bipod. It's wobbly when carrying and cumbersome to handle. They LOOK cool, that's about it.
Plus, you'll need a C2 gas block. If I HAD to have a bipod, I'd just use a standard DSA/Belgian style where you still have the forestock in place if you carry to the next point with a hot barrel... But each to their own. I'm probably biased because I experienced the C2 in real life and grew to detest it... |

I to had my Turn with the C2 many moons ago and the The C1 I started with at a cadet corps that had 40 of them then In the reserves till the transition to the C7 late 87 ish ,
Its Just a project I take my Fn's to local gun shows and have had many people walk buy and get that glow or smile of Thats what I use to carry when they see my collection , to make the C2 or L2 clone is just a way of bringing some good memories Back and some and not so good to others but still a point in History Quote:

Yeah, I might have a C2 some day if the stuff is ever available, but I wouldn't go out looking for it. You're right, they do look cool on a table. And if I ever got the urge, a half pound of C4 would allow me to live out one of my fantasies with this rifle, and would leave a cool crater with C2 bits all around.
