DSA short gas front ends

Hey all, I'm lining up parts for the build after next, Just in case things go bad before I get to it. I've been sitting on a type two for a bit and am thinking of my out yrs-[until I get so old ,and have to switch to a lesser cal due to weight and recoil]
I am thinking -alum para lower,and a short barrel/gas front end.
Who has experience with these packages they offer?
what is the prefered size?
How do ya like them?

I "HAD" to build a short gas frontend for a friend of mine as DSA said they no longer offer them as a solo item. Guess they want you to buy their complete rifle??

The first FAL I built (10-12 yrs. ago?) has a DSA 13.5" bbl, short front end, and it runs great! I have it in a Para rifle.

I had to open the gas hole to .125".

BYO !!!!!!!!!!!

Nekked muzzle, 16.25", short gas and non bi-pod cut (fiber glass reinforced) HG snipped as needed. With the alloy lower, it should come in at damm'd near a full-boat AR with all the bells and whistles.

All ya need izza file, hacksaw anna Dremel !!

Summa dat fancy two=-part glue and some #1634r paint from auto store an' yer GTG !

"Old Gal" my Azz !!!!!!! Don't go all "mouse-gun".. just get a self-propelled!
