both republicans and democrats have brought us to this... the problem can be found in a mirror - time to wake up and fix this, or not... Last edited by gates; February 04, 2012 at 01:38. |

Martin - quite the contrary - it's time we put aside the petty political squabbling and come together as Americans to put a STOP to this BS - division that allows them to continue fuking up our country!

Ruth Bader Ginsburg...
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() someone needs to put this enemy of the state out her pathetic misery.....Supreme Court justice: U.S. Constitution inferior 'I might look at South Africa. Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms' http://www.wnd.com/2012/02/supreme-c...tion-inferior/ One member of the U.S. Supreme Court, whose members are sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States, says she would look elsewhere – Canada, South Africa and Europe – should she be tasked with writing a constitution now. The stunning statements come from Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She was being interviewed by Al Hayat in Egypt, which is trying to develop a government after citizens deposed longtime dictator President Hosni Mubarack last year. Egypt is facing major obstacles to a democratic form of government as the Muslim Brotherhood as a political party has been assembling a majority in the country. Among its goals is a Muslim caliphate worldwide. She was asked: “Would your honor’s advice be to get a part or other countries’ constitutions as a model, or should we develop our own draft? Her response: “You should certainly be aided by all the constitution-writing that has gone on since the end of World War II. I would not look to the U.S. constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, had an independent judiciary. It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done. “Much more recent than the U.S. Constitution is Canada has a Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It dates from 1982. You would almost certainly look at the European Convention on Human Rights. Yes, why not take advantage of what there is elsewhere in the world? I’m a very strong believer in listening and learning from others.” Mathew Staver, chief of Liberty Counsel, said her attitude is problematic. “For a sitting U.S. Supreme Court justice to speak derisively about the Constitution she is sworn to uphold is distressing, to say the least. Justice Ginsburg’s comments about our Constitution undermine the Supreme Court as an institution dedicated to the rule of law, as well as our founding document.” According to Liberty Counsel, “For a United States Supreme Court justice, entrusted with the duty to interpret the Constitution, this type of statement is unacceptable. Justice Ginsburg failed to respect the authority of the document that it is her duty to protect. When given the opportunity to promote American liberty abroad, Justice Ginsburg did just the opposite and pointed Egypt in the direction of progressivism and the liberal agenda.”

Please. The chances of that are as good as one of my horses growing a horn and shitting me skittles. We have had plenty of time over the years to put an end to this crap-by simply voting them out.But we put 80% plus back in every time even with a dismal approval rating. Half the country depends on gov for money. How will you ever change those people to vote for someone that cuts off the freebies? There was a commercial I heard last night about not cutting any medicare. Here in Iowa, state workers don't pay in any of their health care-a bill was introduced to make them pay some, but you know where that's heading. We are screwed, and there is no way to fix it at this point short of a major reset. There are fewer and fewer of us pulling the wagon, and way too many riding-and all are too freakin lazy to get out and help pull........

Here's the thing guys - until we, as a people, wise up and throw off the yoke of divisive partisan politics, there will never be enough consensus to elect someone who will really change the status quo - which is EXACTLY what TPTB want to maintain - which is good for THEM and SHITTY for US, the people.
They push the God, Gays, and Guns agenda to keep us divided and fighting which allows them to continue their game of installing a puppet that rarely garners more than a slim majority of the vote... think about it. |

We are about to elect a whole crew of someones who are supposedly going to do as you propose,,, we the electorate are known to respond to divisive stimuli.
Pray for the kind of divisive stimuli of your choice. We have been rowing the same boat since 1776 in fair and not fair seas. Last edited by martin35; February 04, 2012 at 17:02. |

Odds are 9 to 7 on a Hussein before a Hitler,,,, just so long as he has red hair and a true blue American heart like Washington and Jefferson had. |
