Holland Rear Sights

Meanwhile I see myself busy with the FCH's for the next month and after that I have Bill's T48 CH to work on, but after that I plan on working on Tall and Regular Holland Rear sights. Regular Holland Rear sights are good for 18" barrels and Tall Holland Rear sights are good for shorter Barrels. Others that have these can chime in and describe what these are good for.

Regular Holland Rear Sights will be $66.5 each including S&H.
If interested E mail me at mountainmantacticalforge@embarqmail.com
in the heading copy and paste Regular Holland Rear sight
and in the body tell me how many you want and what the shipping address is.

If you are wondering why I am doing this so prematurely. Well, the truth is that I want plenty of heads up So I can order material and tooling. I don't wanna be stuck with any HSS rounding bits or not enough raw material. After all, I do

Machine these manually.

For those who might ask "why a tall Holland sight?"I bought two and they are the perfect fix for the too short front sight post on carbine length or para metrics. The sight picture on my 18in. SAR48 is now better than any metric FAL I have handled. They also allow the L1A1 front to be mated with a para lower and folding stock.

BTT with price change. I am in a good mood. Don't be one of those folks paying me $150 for one of these because I am busy doing something else and they just can't wait to get one. It's a lose lose situation.

For the sake of unschooled people like myself, what's the history behind the Holland sight?

Why are they more desirable than the stock sights?

And how is range adjusted? I don't see any markings, and the aperture seems to be fixed in place.

You adjust the windage as you do any standard Fal rear sight by sdjusting the sight screws. Elevation is accomplished by raising/lowering the front sight post.

Mountainman,
I sent you an E-mail for one of your Regular sights.
Thanks,
Charlie

You can use your rifle as a club and still hold zero. Its basically a case of KISS.

I have spoken with some one about widening to slot and not going as deep with teh sight hole countersink for ease of use. Anyone have any input?

Anyone intersted in aluminum instead of 4140 PH
