good service on ds arms recall

while i was not happy that i had to send in my new rifle for a recall service the people at ds arms did a great job on getting it back to me quickly. i called them on a wed and thursday i had a return box at my door. i shipped it out on friday and they repaired it and sent it back out the following friday. ups man dropped it off yesterday afternoon. they sent me an email with a tracking number and description of what they did. it was a hell of alot better than the service i got from smith and wesson. the people at ds arms were very polite and helpful. i also got a 20 dollar credit and i get to keep the hard case they used for shipping. to be fair smith and wesson did let me keep the card board box and bubble wrap.

i am not trashing s/w they make a good product and stand behind it with a good warranty. i had a walther g22 that i sent back twice and still was not fixed. the people on the phone were rude and made me feel like i was bothering them. after the second failed repair i sold it because i did not want to go for another round.

that is good to hear. What was this new recall over?

Or is this the same recall from before on the Alloy lowers?

same recall for the lowers alloy. i would have thought that the dealer i bought it from would have checked their inventory when the recall came out. i have had it for 2 months but never called until a week ago. i spent 12 years at a car dealership and we always checked our inventory anytime a recall came out.

I have my tracking number and will have my rifle back Thursday. It took 5 days for my box to arrive and 5 for them to recieve it. I called them a week later and they were about to send it back. I figured since they had it they might as well do something to it, so I had them install the speed trigger.....Merry Christmas to me! That only took 3 more days. I also asked if they would send me a 30 round mag instead of the $20.00 discount, they did! According to the e-mail my reciever was a bad one and was replaced. I have nothing but good to say about DSA. Plus whenever you call you get a real live person.
WooHoo!

Got mine back today. Lower is brand new and matches the upper better than the original lower. I bought the rifle with the front sling mount missing and they added a quick releade mount. The 30 rnd mag looks good.I'll try it out Saturday. The speed trigger is lighter than stock with very little travel compared to before and my Imbel.
