Who remembers Kim Jong
That sawed off little punk that ruled North Korea. Well the news today is that he's currently burning in hell.
But I wanted to take up a little band width and see who remembers what a threat he was to the United States? As I'm sure you all recall he was the third wheel in Bush's "Axis of Evil" and if he ever got a nuke, well he'd use it on us, South Korea, or hand it off to the terrorists. Remember all the air time the talking heads devoted to just how we had to take this madman out before he got nukes? Remember also that NK on Oct 9th, 2006 successfully conducted a nuclear weapons test. I seem to recall the war drums pounding after that date about how we had to get in there NOW But the US doesn't attack nuclear armed states, so the drums fell silent. So silent that North Korea's second test on May 25th, 2009 went almost unnoticed. Now the drums beat for Iran cause by God they will bomb somebody if they have a nuke. It's pure BULLSHIT made up by people who's very paycheck depends on a boogeyman thats minutes away from destroying us and our freedom!! Try to live and learn |

Hunters,
I've had friends shot at both North Koreans and Iranians. They are not our friends. Go see the world learn some things. Some folks hate you and are willing to kill you just because you are American. North Korea has no oil, end of story. Thorack

We have troops in the area, that was a concern. The capability to threaten the Left Coast was another. Lastly, would be the fact that there has been a weapons/technology link between North Korea, China, Russia and Iran. China and Russia have little desire for war. Iran would love to destroy Israel and North Korea would like to own or destroy the South. They aren't just sitting there minding their own business.
North Korea by itself logistically does not have the means to maintain an effort without China (beans, bullets, fuel). But they do enjoy making life difficult for the US and South Korea (sometimes China as well). Chance favors the prepared. Nothing wrong with being aware of your surroundings and what proven enemies are developing. Remember, we have a cease fire in place in Korea thus the DMZ. Iran has a nice anti-US track record of late and actively voice the destruction of the US and Israel. That comes from their media not ours. Saber rattling all around for sure but not as simply put (paycheck justification?!). As a Soldier, I assure you that I am the very last one who seeks war. You may not hear the war drums in the media but South Korea and our forces are constantly on alert. There is a never ending chess match in play. Bottom line, North Korea and Iran do not have your best interests in mind. |

North Koreans are not our friends but all the hype about them nuking us as soon as they had the means, was just hype.
Kim Jong was portrayed as every bit as crazy and twice the despot that Ahmadinejad is and maybe he really was. Regardless of all the spin and fear mongering none of all those terrible scenarios have played out. No "dirty bomb", no nuked on D.C. .

Anyone who dismisses NKorea and their nuke technology---nuke and SCUD missle technology that they have been handing out to Iran and Pakistan and maybe Venezuela, ought to make sure that they know what they are taking about.
As usual, as long as they have not attacked us directly---the isolationsists crow about it as some sort or proof of their idiotic position. We learned from the Cold War that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. The only thing isolationists are concerned with are dem dam furiners comin to town and livin in dem big houses. |

I remember Kin il Jong the daddy and grandpa of the newest Kim, he put together a military frame work that still supported his son and then his son.
This is the most dangerous time for the newest Kim as he is the target of any who have ambition and audacity, purges will be necessary to keep power. The USA has alternately waged war against North Korea and be a source of aid, even being so generous as to give them a Nuclear reactor if the promised to play nice,,, if I not mistaken we are presently giving humanitarian aid petroleum products to NK as part of a ploy to encourage dialog with the USA. Our enemy has had as another disastrous crop failure ,, again so now we will now nurse them back to health with their new promise to behave,,,, how fuckin. stupid can we get? I would send them a nice blizzard of locusts. |

Think about it terms of "you". If you were a small country and a much larger, more powerful country was labeling you an "axis of evil" and commiting acts of war against you - would you want nukes? Isolationism - to abstain from political and economic relations with other nations. War, is not politics. War is a breakdown in the political process. Sanctions, which limit trade are isolationist, and an act of war . Demanding your political leaders not negotiate with a nation, like you neo cons love to do, is ISOLATIONIST. The lesson that should be learned from the cold war is totalitarian empires always fail. If you stop being such an National ISOLATIONIST V-Guy you could see your own government for the totalitarian empire it's turning into. I mean come on, not even the NAZI's were willing to grope grandma at the train station |

Also, North Korea didn't give Pakistan or Iran nuclear technology; rather, Pakistan sold nuclear technology to Iran and North Korea. And, if you go even further back, China gave that information to Pakistan. |
