Norinco SKS Question.
A friend of mine just sold me his NIB with all the goodies Norinco SKS for $200.
He bought a few back in the day when they were $79 bucks at all the gun shows and he had it stashed away. How do I tell if it has a pinned or screwed on barrel ? the factory code is 0146 in a square. which as far as I know is a marking for commerical sales. It's marked Norinco SKSCS and has a spike bayonet. Still a newbie when it comes to SKS's . Any info would help. |

That's a good price on a Norinco regardless of whether it is pinned, or not.

Nice site. According to it my Norinco was made in 1966. I bought it awhle back, put it away and never fired it. Paid $99 for it and will probably shoot it over the holidays.

Great site, just what I was needing. Thank you for the link.
Found out that it is a half shank screwed on barrel. Took me most of yesterday to clean out all of the cosomoile that it was covered with. I paid special attention to the bolt just to make sure there aren't any slamfires when I go live with it. Last edited by douglas; November 12, 2011 at 14:58. |
