Anyone tried new DSA 20 rd mags?
I recently had quite a bit of ftf trouble with my fairly new DSA STG-58. I think it's the Korean mags but I had 3 surplus mags give the same trouble. Has anyone tried the new (not on the website yet) DSA 20 round mags? Any suggestions?

Would you mind providing some details as to the nature of your problem? There's a good chance we can help diagnose whatever ails your rifle.

As Lew says, what's the problem? Sounds more like a rifle glitch if your surp mags are giving the same trouble. I'm holding out for Moses Mags. Just a question of if they will be delivered by The Great Pumpkin, Thanksgiving Turkey or Santa Claus.

When I 1st got rifle - shot fine with mag that was supplied (Austrian). Went to range with new mags and the cartridges wouldn't feed into the chamber and were being badly scratched. I thought my gas setting may have been wrong but it didn't change. Went home and filled all mags and manually cycled - separated the ones who didn't load and took the others back to the range. Had 2 fail to feed once each but the rest functioned flawlessly. Thanks!

Badly scratched cartridges are not a problem with the mags. The underside of the receiver feed lips are very sharp on new receivers. The fix is to take the sharp edge off. There are a couple of ways to fix this. One is to take a small file and gently remove the sharp edges. The other one is to just shoot the heck out of. The more you shoot it, the better is will become. I prefer to use the file.
This is a very common problem with all FAL receivers. Easy to fix. As to the Korean mag. Take it apart remove the grease on the follower ears and slightly bend the two ears on the follower in. Be sure the interior is clean. I like to leave a very thin coat of CorrosionX on the inside of the mag body and also on the spring. This has worked for me but YMMV. Good luck and HTH.

Just took brand new dsa 20 round mags to the range. Worked perfect no failures. I previously bought Asian mags and they were junk. Ftf's abundant.
