I wonder how many they have that are still new in the styro.? Those would be great kits but sad to see them made into kits. I would be forced to buy two to give them a good home.

With all those FAL's, there should be some sizeable quantities of 7.62x51 fodder. Maybe we can get some of that.

Wonder who supplied their ammo, FN maybe? If so that would be swell.

Well hopefully in 2012 political winds in the US will change, and we'll get to see some of those parts. Figure it'll be a while before things settle down in Libya and they re-arm with newer weapons.
Lets hope Century, Sarco, ect.. get there before captain crunch. Here's to hoping. |

We (as in US citizens) can’t just go there can we…..I mean it’s one of the off limits places for us correct?

Growler Gator,
Thank you for the link’s, I found them interesting. Looks like I was wrong on the cut of your head thing. Strange that they seem to like us (Americans), well at least in the three stories they did. I wondered if anyone from here went over on their own. I’d bet we could have gotten back a few as kits, maybe still could. I think I might look into this a bit more.

What are they looking for; matching serial numbers? Argy receivers? A Joe Poyer import? A BGS with matching wood? Australian? Are Indian L1A1 as taboo as ones made by in-fah-dels? An Imbel gear stamp to complete their collection? I'm curious as to why they are digging through them so thoroughly.
Oh, I know, it just hit me. Positively, absolutely NO Izzy markings allowed! They probably are having a contest where the first one to find an Izzy FAL gets a free smoked goat sammich on pita bread. Then they get to smash it and set it one fire (the FAL not the sammich). Jarhead504 |
