F4 vs Aussie L2A2

I'm curious...is there any real difference between Australian L2A2 and F4 ball?

Recently I bought some ammunition that I thought was F4, but turned out to be L2A2 from the 1960s, and I'm wondering if I got screwed here.

F4 was the designation we started using in the 1970s I believe. If it is well stored it should be fine but will NOT have come from the great sell off of war stock ammunition made to the US a few years ago.
