Received mine in the mail a couple of weeks ago.
Fit and finish are excellent, and the sight base and sight fit fine with the DSA scope rail mounted. Have not had a chance to zero yet, but I am sure it be just fine. I got 'Excellent to new' condition G3 sight from robertrtg.com, and it is. You also need the mounting screw, oval washer and lock washer, but not the windage screw: http://www.robertrtg.com/g3rearsight.html I much prefer this to the std FAL rear sight on this rifle. We are fortunate to have guys like tedg making these kind of items for us.

Sorry to all for not responding sooner. When the files crashed, I thought this thread was lost. Price is now $55 shipped/ins. These will work on an Argy with closed ear gas block. Most likely too short for open ear.

Update: demand really picked up, and I will do another run and continue to make these as long as they're wanted. The new Para bases will of course fit standard rifles and are about .100 taller. I will probably combine the two adds in the near future. Thanks to all.

Shipment times
How long does the build to shipment take? It's been awhile since check cleared and no sight.

I recieved my base for the HK style rear site today.
The machine work and finish that went into the making of this base is top tier! Is it needed? No... But that's part of the fun in collecting, shooting our FALs or any other firearm. If we choose we can modify certine items. for our own personel tastes. As posted by another, Yes, It's wonderful to have men such as TEDG whom posess the skills to craft items such as this one. and force me to eat spam and noodles because I spend my extra cash on my hobby. ![]() Jimmo |

Hey Jimmo, What's wrong with spam and noodles? I like to throw in a can of Rotelle hot Tomatoes, but that's just me.

ordered mine for a 18" STG58c (not that it matters much).
I will give my amatuerish opinions after I receive the base and mount it. Thanks Ted for giving me another reason to meddle with with my FAL. |

One for a new guy?
I could really use one of these for my first FAL project thingy; the rear sight on my Imbel lower is kinda janky, and I've always liked drum sights. Cripes, it's half the reason I registered, as I don't often post in forums (I usually just read them). Just tell me where, and when, to send the moneys.

I'd like one for my metric standard length STG58. I've been hankering for a new rear sight for some time now. Please PM me payment details.
TIA, Wayne

The payment details are cleverly hidden between the 2 pictures. I've lost the Para add, but no loss. For those wanting a Para base, it is the same price,$55 shipped and insured. I discovered that by making the Para base, about an 1/8th taller. I could clear the Para Knuckle, and not grind the HK sight to clear.I hope this clears up some confusion in my earlier adds. Thanks again to all my customers!

Improved Sights - A must have...
A little late with the post. Hands down, one of the best things to change on the FAL, if you want iron sights. Installed and sighted-in with base from Tedg. The G3 sight on my STG makes it a lot easier to maintain <1.5 MOA at 100 yds. The gun can shoot it and now I have the right iron sights on the FAL.
Can wait to get on the 200 yd range, next...
