Basic, quick, SA58 questions
Hi all (thanks for your ongoing help),
I was going to give DSA a call but figured I'd throw up all my latest questions. 1) Is there a 'golden' serial number range to search for in the SA58s? Conversely, a taboo range to avoid? 2) Are the SA58's lifetime warranty fully transferable? 3) Any good recommendations on a good elevation adjustable rear sight? (the DSA para I was looking at today has just windage... not sure what the status is on the SA58). Thanks, Tom |

As for ranges. DS marked started at 10,000 and are currently around the 45k mark. DSA marked started at 20,000 and are probably somewhere in the 24k range currently. Many around here like DSA built guns that are under the 30-35k range. Not because of receiver quality but because parts availability has become a problem. |

As far as warranty goes, my brother picked up a used sa58 tac and the bolt broke after 50 or 60 rounds and they are fixing it free of charge.

I have used a lot of DSA receivers over the last 12 to 15 years. I have only had a couple glitches with them. All the glitches were easy to solve. They are very nice receivers. I have tinkered with other receivers, all to relatively great results. To be straight up, I have more tinkering needed with Imbel receivers than DSA receivers. Just my experience. Allegorical in the extreme.
My latest DSA build had one of their ejector blocks in it. Complete crap. I put in a millitary E block, finer than frog hair. Corrected everything.
