MEDICARE PREMIUM INCREASE
For those of you who are on Medicare, read the article below. It is about the monthly amount of money you are going to pay in Medicare premiums in 2011, 2012 and the huge increase you will pay in 2013. It's a short but important article: Congress will not allow an increase in the social security COLA (cost of living adjustment); however, the per person monthly Medicare insurance premium will be increased from the 2009 premium of $96.40 to $104.20 in 2012, $120.20 for the year 2013 AND increases to a wonderful $247.00 in 2014. Thank You Obamacare! Congress also gave themselves a $3,000 a month Cost of Living Adjustment! REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER 2012

Your information is both outdated and incorrect. As a conservative health insurance agent I'm certainly no fan of "Obamacare". However, you are no better than the liberals who tout lies and deceit on this forum. Medicare Part B premiums for 2009 were $96.40. People that were on Medicare in 2009 and who had their premiums deducted from their Social Security check have not had an increase in premium and are still paying $96.40. Medicare premiums for 2010 were $110.50. People that first got on Medicare in 2010 and had their premiums deducted from their check are still paying the $110.50. Medicare premiums for 2011 are currently $115.30. What the premiums will be for 2012 is anybody's guess. It would surely go up because health care costs went up. And we all know that health care costs were not addressed in the HealthCare Deform Act. We will find out the 2012 premiums ~October.
