Hello the camp! A book is alluded to frequently as 'bible' sorta-kinda of the FAL; maybe by ____ Stevens? Your assistance is requested and appreciated. Oh, yeah, if other books are recommended, please advise. thxnregards.

"The FAL Rifle" is pretty much out of print right now. More copys should be available by by this fall according to the publisher along with a new book by Stevens with more info on the FAL. Sorry, plumb forgot the name of it.

Brad at www.gunthings.com sells the book at a very reasonable price. His website says "available early 2012".

Brad has several other book offerings I like, but mostly related to the SLR or L1A1.

Thats covered in Chapter 2, Chapter 1 covers the Sacred Fire Stick of Herstal ,

There are, in effect, two versions of the FAL reference, the originals b eing a 3-volume series on the rifles, and the later combined edition with all the material from the previous volumes under a single cover.

Recent editions of the single-volume set will usually run you around $100, but there are bargains to be found.
