Adding a new Charging handle for an Aussie

I got a new DSA upper and want to put the charging hanldle in, how is this done?

Charging handle goes in and out from the front, NOT from the rear.

First thing you do is to insert the charging handle from the front.

Second, install the lug.

Third, punch in the lug pin.

Done!

Th handle i have is complete, so do i disassemble it first?

You don't need to disassemble any more than to remove the charging lug. Tap out small pin that retains the lug from the bottom. Remove the lug, slide the handle in from the front of receiver until the lug will be in the channel cut for the lug. Replace the lug and pin. If you have a L1A1 receiver it should go right in. If you have a metric receiver the shoulders on the Aussie charge handle may be to thick and need some work.

Btw, you cant normally install it if the handguards are still on the front end.
There's not enough clearance to slide the charging handle into the grooves on the receiver.
Dont ask me how I learned this......
