lube?
No this is not one of those post which is the better lube LCP, Slip2000, Mobile1 motor oil syn, weaponshield.
This is just a basic fill in the blank that I should know but don't. Does the FAL/L1A1 like to run wet like an AR-15 or does it prefer to run dry? |

Gas system is run dry, as in clean, lightly oil, and wipe dry.
I use a bit of gun grease on the bolt and inside the carrier and oil on the carrier/ receiver rails. Recoil tube and springs are cleaned, oiled and wiped dry. If in doubt, go with dry.

Same for me except I use a small amount of lithium grease on the rails.

Yeah the gas system is dry but then so is the rest of the gun. Guess I should put a touch of oil on the bolt/trigger area.
