Sarco's Argy kit question
I was on the phone with Sarco this morning, the woman who answered my phone call was rude. I ask for the Argy kit with barrel matching number or not, she told me to read the descriptions on the web. Her voice was not friendly. On their e-news letter, Sarco stated that numbers matched but no mentioning of barrel. Does anyone know if Argentine barrel have serial number?
Thanks |

My barrel did NOT have a serial number. I assume the barrels are coming from their lot of NOS replacement barrels. All the rest of the kit matched. Then I ordered a matching serial number receiver from Coonan. So everything that has a serial number matches.

The kits are as described in the ads, all numbers matching with the barrels not being serialized. These are un-issued kits paired up with un-issued barrels. Any finish wear would be from storage and handling.
In defense of the woman answering the call, I am sure she has not personally inspected everything in the warehouse or even looked at it for that matter. They sell thousands of items and she is most likely looking at the same description that you are on her computer and probably has little to no knowledge of the item than that.

As Abominog said, barrels are not blued. Parked or parked and painted.

If that is the case, and she has no knowledge of the product, why is she on the "Customer Information Line"? Give her a job in the billing department, not answering questions for potential customers. |

It was fantastic once they got their website up in running. Now I just order directly from that. Its fast and so far for me it has been flawless. Although I do miss the long conversations with the customer service ladies there
. There were times I spoke more with them than my wife ... ... Now that they are in the digital age, those days are long gone. There are a couple FAL guys that work in the warehouse, if you have a specific FAL question, they've always responded to my e-mails.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I'am new to the FAL game. I saw Austrian STG kits advertised on GB or here with matching numbers. I want to know why they are important. I now know the answer by reading and interacting with FAlfilers. As you know, I am still learning.
My question to Sarco was simple. Either yes or no or I don't know. I called Sarco on Monday morning , the woman answered the phone in normal manner; however, when I asked about if the Argy barrel has matching serial number with the kit, her voice became grunting: " READ THE WEB DESCRIPTIONS". I told her I don't know anything about part kit so please transfer me to customer service or tech support. She told me she is it, I took it as she meant she is customer service. I thanked her kindly and hung up. Tanner |
