Brass burn

I've seen alot of joes get brass burns on the left side of the neck(think about it) but on the RIGHT CHEEK? HTF did that happen? I think it is the most perfect imprint I've seen...........my money says M249 since this brass was unusually hot.

Camp Perry 1997. Drop into the sitting position and settle down for my first round downrange. Kid immediately to my left fires his first round and the brass goes right down my plumbers pencil holder!
Two hundred rapid went down hill from there.

I once had a piece of hot .45 brass become lodged between my nose and my glasses; that was exciting... Nothing like shown by the OP, though.

I had the same thing happen shooting my G-21. The case got wedged between my right cheek and shooting glasses under my eye. I could hear it sizzling on my flesh as I was trying to clear and safe my pistol (I was shooting in a comp. at my club), before ripping the glasses off. It left a perfect .45 case burn like the first guy. Took a month to heal.

Did this with a Para P-13. Did the stupid thing and slapped at it with my weak hand [a bystander said that I did keep the pistol pointed downrange ] Anyways, it didn't do nothing bad, but it sure seems like a good way to get a .45 case pushed into your eyeball, case mouth first.
