More pics/range test new Brit rcvr(ENTREPRISE)
Went to the range this AM.Entreprise installed my barrel and headspaced
my bolt.My kit is all Enfield with a NEW 1984 barrel. The only assembly problem I had was the channel for the charge handle was a little short in the front---I had to grind a tad off the charge handle nub(you grind the CHEAP part first--correct?) so the handle would go fwd enough to close fully. It works fine now.The bolt carrier is TIGHT in the rcvr--the upper and lower are a tight fit also. Cycling the bolt by hand showed some tightness going into battery. I fired single shots for awhile and started hitting steel @ 300 yds after dialing in the sights. Firing repeat shots from the mag caused some FTF on the 3rd shot from some groups--I may need more gas(running on 4). I knocked all the paint off the 300 yd steel--moved out to 400yds and hit 4 for 5(the front site is wider then the silhoutte at that distance). I only fired 80 rds(Radway) and overall have a pretty good feel for the rifle. I think more rounds will loosen things up a bit---thats the story on UE65 A134982. Pete![]() ![]() ![]()

That rifle looks at least as nice as the ones the folks in Europe have been sharing pics of! Nice work!

Beutiful Commonwealth FAL. I will have one like it when my Entréprise Brit cut receiver arrives (Come on Matt, you hit my cc 8-31).
Is that a METRIC mag release on your rifle??? Best Regards, Slo cat

Yes,Slo that is a metric---here in CA if I want to build a "box" around the mag release so I can remove the mag via "a tool=bullet tip"--I need the metric as the INCH sticks out too far from the side. Pete

Secret finish? Looks like Rustoleum #7777 Satin Black. The same stuff I have used for years, and it matches British black perfectly!
No secret...just good stuff. Tim |

Just don't get that paint on tight tolerance parts as it will make things "not fit" anymore.
The Entreprise looks good for an Entreprise! Some of the feartures aren't exactly correct but as close as you will get unless DSA makes a Brit cut receiver. Your rifle looks very nice BTW!!!!

Nice looking rifle!
BTW, I only laugh at those who pay people big bucks to apply exotic finishes to a battle-rifle. Quote:
