Thank you, Gentlemen.

I want to take this moment to commend President Obama for honoring the timetable for the withdrawal of combat units from Iraqi cities and Iraq itself as stated in the Status Of Forces Agreement President Bush convinced the Iraqi Parliment to ratify on 27 Nov 08.
Thank you, President Bush for taking out Saddam Hussein and thank you President Obama for not losing Iraq.

As soon as the US presence in Iraq is finished with, the shit will hit the fan again. The insurgents will see the "new" Iraqi gov't and military as a prime target for an offensive. Maybe the old Baathist Party will try to regain power. And of course the Iranians will have their say as well.

It is all about oil and money. Nothing else.

And so it goes.

When you say Obama didn't lose Iraq, I presume you mean he kept his big mouth shut, didn't meddle, didn't add his infinite wisdom/.02 cents.......and stayed out of the way while real men got the job done?

Saddam was no doubt evil incarnate to the core, but did as many die under his rule as without him? I saw a documentary between the Gulf War and the start of this one, and the middle eastern political interviewees were reiterating that it was saddam who was keeping a lid on the mid-east. I think too the lid about to come back off completely. This is the proverbial conundrum wrapped within a riddle. What do you do with a despot maintaining "peace"?

Let's see. There are about 190 countries in the world. We have a military presence (large to very small) in about 130 of them. What will happen first? We will develop a presence in all 190 or will we go broke economically, socially and morally first?

Well, at least we have fewer people quite so close to Iran.
When the Israelis nuke Iran, it's best to have some distance between you and Ground Zero.
I wonder if our troops in Asscrackistan are carrying their NBC gear these days ?
