G1 muzzle devices...

I live under a rock; I've touched two FAL's since I turned 16 about a billion years ago... My state's weapon market is flooded with hunting weapons a lot less severe than the FAL...

Anyways, I just got my first through AIM; a nice STG-58 from DSA...

But, I'm not a fan of the STG long flash hider, really... I'd rather have a G1 style... But if I'm gonna have my barrel altered, I want it altered the right way; By putting a lug on it...

But therein lies a problem; Would it be a case of I'd have to get a new barrel, or can a G1 lug be installed on my existing one?

Thanks,
- CK

Have Moses make you a threaded G1 reproduction. Cheaper and better than the alternatives.

Many people would probably be able to tell you that FALs with the STG flash hider are considered more accurate than the twist on G1..

Yep. No matter how tight a G1 unit is it still wobbles, affecting accuracy.

CeeKay, that long Stolle STG flashhider you have only extends an inch or so beyond the muzzle.

ie; "Don't mess with success"

btw; My G1 shoots much better when naked.

"... My G1 shoots much better when naked...."

Just to prove that each rifle is a law unto itself my G1 shoots more accurately with the G1 flash hider. In fact it is enough more accurate than one I built at the same time with a DSA medium barrel and DSA floating hand-guard that I kept it and sold the other one.

Go figure!!
