Power to shut down the internet for 4 months?
I don't know if it's possible, but it shows that he and the dems are desparate.
A couple from Drudge. http://www.prisonplanet.com/obama-ca...cy-powers.html http://news.techworld.com/security/3...enate/?olo=rss |

Don't worry. When Obama shuts it down, it will be as part of his full communist coup.
The 2000 man strike force that he is having trained in secret will be acting and executing, news show hosts and opposition leaders, even as the internet is shut down. McDonald vs Chicago gives him reason to do it today. Last edited by V guy; June 28, 2010 at 12:11. |

The federal government has control over the military and police, the economy thru the FED, the States thru overreaching laws and taxation. With near cradle to grave control over the individual, should we be surprised that power over a free internet will be demanded also.

Don't worry, like the Patriot Act it will never be used to abuse, intimidate, harass or infringe on the good law abiding public rights, BUT will only be used for those rare instances when terrorists and some act they are planning would have killed thousands or toppled our government.

Shutting down the internet for four months might just give people time to do something else and convince them that they should do it, if you catch my drift...

Shutting down the internet would instantly cripple a gigantic portion of the U.S. economy. Expect to see a 10,000+ DOW one day and half that the next, maybe worse.

I can't think of a quicker way to start a shooting civil insurrection than to shut down guys' ability to download free porn for 120 days.
Even Odumbass isn't that dumb!

I would imagine that they have the ability to leave the whole commerce portion of the internet up and running and simply shut down the subversive sites.....
Like this one.. Most americans wouldn't notice, or care so long as the celeb sites. porn and online poker still function. .................juanni |
