Properly wearing a chest rig?
I recieved a chest rig a few days ago from 762tactical.
modeled after the Chicom chest rigs, it's actually set up for AR15 and FAL magazines. It fits good, well made, and is comfortable to wear and travels good when walking. I've only got one problem and that is when I am running. When I run, the rig flops up and down. If I tighten it enough to take the slop out of it, I have a tough time breathing. If I leave it somewhat loose, and take a deep breath, it's enough to take the slack out and it doesn't flop when I run. I was just wondering if this is a chest rig trait, or if I have something adjusted wrong, and if so, what? Thanks. |

I wish that i could tell you there is some rule to it, but when it comes down to it you have to develop your rig through trial and error and personal preference. I dont have any experience with chest rigs, i wear full vests or pc, but i would think that yuo could possibly be wearing it too high and loose.
my two cents...

Try wearing a bit high. I wear a chest rig over my body armor. I do not fasten the waist strap because when I go prone I flip out in front. thus I can get lower and everything is accessible. I prefer to wear the rig low for the most part though.

Okay thanks guys! I appreciate it.
If I figure out what I did wrong/adjust I'll post it up! |
