It may well be for those of us behind the lines.

Moses,
How will they go on sale? Will you have a website? Or will you do all the sales here?

Moses, I'm not at risk so I would suggest letting our brothers in Colorado get in the front of the line- once their mag deadline passes, you could let everyone else place orders, first come first served style.

I'll be getting 5 to start.

How will the weight and size of these mags compare to steel mags? Wondering if they will fit in 308 mag pouches that can accommodate 308 PMAGs, and I am wondering how much weight I would save using these instead of steel mags.

I too was wondering about weight and size. Will they fit in 100rd or 200 round military SAW pouches?

I just looked at one of the Moses mags an hour ago and they look great! Too bad I no longer own an FAL. My son is going to run one tomorrow in his L1a1.

We need to see pics of this mag! Alongside a metal mag would be perfect.

That is a damn good question! A good number of the 308 mag pouches won't hold the G3 mags because of their extra size. Would hate for that to be the case with the Moses Mags.

I'm psyched for these mags. People like Moses are keeping the FAL alive. Surplus mags won't be around forever and I would love to see us in a PMAG type situation where we have cheap, abundant mags that function flawlessly and are easily mass-produced.

I'll be getting 5 just for starters, even if they are thicker/heavier. Over time, we will need this project to stay alive, for the sake of the FAL.

Moses, I hope you are protecting your investment. Have you gotten a patent lawyer involved? You could stand to make a lot of money off this over the years--assuming some big company like Thermold, Magpul, etc doesn't clone your mag design for themselves. Watch your six man.

Now if someone would just improve the para and fixed stock options to include adjustable LOP and cheek riser without adding a lot of weight! The Magpul PRS is too heavy and catches on stuff.

Sorry I thought I posted the price, the mags are $27.99
I have to figure out the shipping costs, and then I'll post it.
I'm not gonna try to make any money off shipping
so it's not gonna be an exorbitant amount.
I have to see how many mags will fit in a medium and large flat rate box.

beware shipping any mags or parts to denver zip codes (the nazis sentenced Tommy Chong to federal prison for 9 months, and seized all his assets for shipping glass with his name on it to Pittsburgh, just sayin'...);

basically, watch out for shipping addresses "802XX"

2 Moses mags weigh as much as one steel mag empty...

They are very nice mags and appear very durable. Moses "forcibly" threw one down today during a mag change and it only made a little scratch in the polymer..very impressive...got home and ran 20rnds through mine with no issues....."me likey!"

HOLY FECK! THEY'RE BEEEEAAAAUUUUUTTTTIIIIIFAL!

So the rest of us will only be able to order these after the start of the CO bs?

Oh hell, just thought of something else...hopefully you're willing to break them down into mag kits for those of us in occupied California. If not, then I'm ordering some for my son in a free state.

These Moses mags do have a born on date.

A 20 rd Moses mag weighs 4.85 ounces empty.

A steel 20 rd FAL mag weighs 8.85 ounces empty.

So a Moses mag is almost half the weight of a standard steel mag.

This final version of the Moses mag has yet to have a failure to feed of any kind in the extensive testing I have done, this is through at least 14 different FAL's.

I hope to have all emails answered sometime tomorrow.

I will posts updates to the overall situation of when these will be on sale to everyone and any other pertinent information as it becomes available.

Thanks to everyone who has so patiently waited on this project, it has been a long and winding road but looks like it will prove to be worth the wait and hard work.

I was using moses mags exclusively in a 3 gun match this past Saturday and they ran flawlessly, Airground mentioned I "forcibly" threw down a moses mag during a mag change, the reason was because it was a mag change during the 3 gun event, the mag was thrown into some dirt and gravel and must have hit a rock because there was a very small dent where it hit, that dent in no way effects function or in any way compromises the strength of the mag for future use.

they look like the quality from a big named deep pocket manufacturer. Very nice job. Once you sell a couple thousand of these don't forget about the SCAR . It needs poly mags too

I'm ready to order 5 black mags off the bat (but I'm outside CO).

Will follow up with mags in other colors too. In total, I am going to buy even more than my normal mag fetish would force me to buy, to support a wonderful cause.

Thanks, my goal was to produce a durable, uber reliable, high quality and cosmetically pleasing to the eye FAL polymer magazine, it is starting to look like I have finally accomplished this!!!!
I really appreciate it when I see people write things like this:
"They look like the quality from a big named deep pocket manufacturer. Very nice job."

The mold company should be able to produce 400 to 500 mags in a 10 hour shift, that doesn't include the secondary operation that has to be performed on the mag nor does it include assembly of the mags.
I do not think there will be a problem with the mold company keeping me supplied with product, depending on how full their schedule is they should also be able to schedule time for my mags to be run within a couple weeks of when I order I would assume, if not sooner.

I would like to get clarification on the Colorado deadline.
Do you guys have to have them before July 1st or post marked before July 1st or what's the deal?

I'll try and get clarification. But as I understand it, the law goes into effect on July 1. Ironically, the vast majority of the Sheriff's here are not going to enforce the law as it is written.

How that would effect shipping a magazine into the enemy lines after the deadline, I just don't know. I suspect that the ramifications rest with the buyer, not the seller. But if a seller was to knowingly ship to a communist county....?

To be safe sir, I would suggest that the item be paid for in full, and a receipt be sent via email and the package post marked prior to July 1 to CYA. I think that would cover the bases...

(2) (a) A PERSON MAY POSSESS A LARGE-CAPACITY MAGAZINE IF HE
OR SHE:
(I) OWNS THE LARGE-CAPACITY MAGAZINE ON THE EFFECTIVE DATE
OF THIS SECTION;
AND

(b) IF A PERSON WHO IS ALLEGED TO HAVE VIOLATED SUBSECTION (1)

THIS SUBSECTION (2), THE PROSECUTION HAS THE BURDEN OF PROOF TO
REFUTE THE ASSERTION.
(3) THE OFFENSE DESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION (1) OF THIS SECTION
SHALL NOT APPLY TO:
(a) AN ENTITY, OR ANY EMPLOYEE THEREOF ENGAGED IN HIS OR HER
EMPLOYMENT DUTIES, THAT MANUFACTURES LARGE-CAPACITY MAGAZINES

I'm not a lawyer, but doesn't "TRANSFERS" means shipping?

Yes. Which is why I recommended the following:
