I've been on here since 02.
I even bought a SAR 48 through here and it is one sweet shooter. Had it shipped from TX to an FFL in MN and went through the NICS check and all that stuff. Molon Labe |

I've been here long enough to still be waiting on my Polo shirt.

Been here since '01, at the ripe ole age of 24! I was lurking for more than a year when I joined. It's been home since. I'm one probably 6 or 7 hours a day (in and out). I've met a bunch of the member and I have to say I'm proud to call many of you close friends!

I've been a member for over 6 years but not really active until the last 3 or so.
I orginally found this site when I was looking for resorces on my first FAL build. I joined up to take a look. To tell the truth I really did not know what these "gun boards" were really all about. When I learned that I got more active on the interwebs. |

Still here
Been here since Sept. 2002
Best site for the fal. Wish WEG would post some more wecsog stuff. I love it. What happened to DougJoness31. He posted some killer gunsmithing stuff on headspacing. And other topics. Was looking around for some stuff to sell and clean out today. Had an old Sten kit under the work bench land was pulling it out. Way back I saw an old flat long box. In it was 2 Tapco Imbel kits and a catalog. All my gun stuff was moved out of there years ago. The catalog was the from the golden years of buying fal parts. It should be a sticky on the files. Like the reprints of the Sears Catalogs from the 1920's. All the best

Been here for almost 4 years.......yeah its quiet but this site isn't full of "transmitters" like arf.com or even the SIG forum. I like it here. At least you get good info on any and all questions asked.
That's why I hang out on the 1911 forum as well. I've been there for more that 6 years now and I am still learning things. |

I would have been in the first 500, but I just "lurked" for a while. I was around when the storage facility for one of the first kit group buys got hit by a tornado and FAL parts were all over Texas, if I remember correctly.

Been around here since '06. I got to party late and have only owned a FAL for a couple years. I joined the site to glean more information on them.
I continue to stop by once or twice a day because I enjoy reading what you lunatics have to say and I occasionally still learn something. (I'm also on dial-up Internet out here in the sticks and about all I can do online is read!) I don't plan on leaving any time soon. I must be the only FALer within 50 miles of Nacogdoches, Texas too.

I too lurked for a while before I joined. I don't know why but I read this site every day.
I still have an Imbel kit (now a rifle) I bought during the group buy. I was one of the very first to order and was promised a very nice kit. The importer screwed Jen and the kits were not like new as advertised. Jen was kind enough to have the kit reparkerized before she sent it to me. She did this trying to make things right and as no special favor to me. Shortly after she shipped my kit the whole tornado thing happened. I was very lucky to get the kit. I think I even have the invoice showing I paid $220 for it. |

Guys who are married don't need active members.
![]() I first came around circa October 1999 on the old Blue Board about the same time I bought my first kit, an "excellent" StG for $179 (?). (Turned out to be a Belgian StG with a mid-four figure serial.) Also got one of Harlan's hand-picked "excellent" StGs for $199, among others. Registered on the New Board on the second day because I was out of town the first day. Also got in on the Polo Shirt deal (told Jen to just keep my money as a contribution) and fared VERY well on the IMBEL Kit Group Buy (the early bird gets the worm). Stayed away from the LULA group buy. Wish to hell I got in on some of Mark Powell's group buys like the para deal for example, but at the time I was flat broke paying family medical bills. Hey Chorizo, why did you wait two months to register? --Radio
