Who has an FNP-45???

I just sold my FNP-9 to my nephew because his eyes glazed over every time he saw it and I was hoping to encourage him into being a lifetime gun enthusiast. Now I am without a hi capacity polymer 9mm and I am thinking of replacing the FNP-9 with the FNP-45. I have seen and handled them and I know its a bigger framed pistol and I like the idea of a BIG double stack .45! I wont use it for EDC but I guess as I get older I am enjoying shooting .45 ACP more and 9mm less.

Who in here owns one and what do you think of them? What do you like /dislike about the FNP-45 ? Pre buying tips are welcome too. My intent is to buy the standard version in all black with the decocker.

Please no "Buy a Glock or get a 1911 instead" responses, this is seeking data from other FNP-45 shooters.

Thanks

I like it.
It's a big gun but it's not as huge and massive as people make it out to be.
I wouldn't put it in an ankle holster but I do have a Supertuck to carry it IWB.

Some seem to have trouble getting it to feed +P rounds, others have no problems.
It's a non issue with me as 230 gr standard loads are sufficient IMHO.

Most of them seem to dislike WWB FMJ as well. They won't load in the mag right.
FN is aware of it and their fix for it was the same as mine, don't use WWB.

I own one. Quite happy with it. It's a great bedside home defender IMO. Those 15 round mags can be rough to load.

Smile fnp 45

I have one and I like it a lot. I was a little concerned because I have small hands. The Glock 21 feels like a 2x4 to me--but the FN can be fitted to suit even me.

This is an accurate shooter as well. I have only shot ball ammo though. Your milage may vary.
