Even though it says hesse on it it is an imbel receiver, the assembly procedures may be a little funky though. I shot / helped repair #002x it was an L1A1 with the barrel cut down to 16" no crown job, just a hacksaw. The brake was hammered onto the ground down barrel.
Shoots fine, was probably plenty cheap at the time of purchase.

Went to the range and went unprepared, forgot my spotting scope(gun range scopes are crap),did'nt bring my buddy, and forgot my tool bag.Took a shot and went to take another and hammer did'nt reset, had on full auto select,so fixed that then I took 3 shots and looked with range scope which took forever to focus in on target(100yds),nothing not one hole on the target.I could'nt tell where the bullet was hitting because the ground was moist.Long story short a big waste of time, money, and ammo. After leaving the range it dawned on me why did'nt I move the rear sight up to bring my barrel up. Well this is why this forum is so awesome,I read on another post where someone mentioned that barrels that are cut down tend to shoot low,so that is my problem.I ordered a front sight tool and new handguards from RA parts (Claude)very nice gentleman, recieved them promptly!I called him back yesterday to order some different size front sights,I think I'm going to need them after turning the original front sight all the way down and did'nt seem to go down far enough.

With a complete unknown like this, I'd start with a BIG piece of cardboard at 25 yards. Might save you a lot of shots if the sights are really off. If it's close no harm done, just tweak it a couple of inches low at that range and it'll definitely be on the paper at 100.
