Rocky Mountain Air Show Aug 22-23

Just a heads-up for front range Colorado folks. The Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield (f.k.a., Jeffco Airport) is having its annual air show next weekend.

Unfortunately there are still no details posted on the web site(http://www.co.jefferson.co.us/airpor...rt_T38_R71.htm ), but it is typically a decent show.

Last year's warbird demonstrations included: P-51 Mustang, MIG-17, P-80, B-17G (rides available), B-25 Mitchell (rides available), C-130, F-16 and F/A-18.

Static displays included: Blackhawks, P-51's, Avenger, Hawker Sea Fury, and losts of civilian aircraft.

Not sure but I think there were also helicopter rides available in Robinsons.

Hopefully this year will be a good one too, but I did some searching and can say the following WILL NOT be there: Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, Pacific Prowler B-25, Liberty Belle B-17, Sentimental Journey B-17, Aluminum Overcast B-17, or Patty Wagstaff. Unfortunately, this show is competing with several others datewise.

Last one I went to around here I got to see the guy in the F-86 pancake up north.
