5.56 headstamp question
I was given 100 rounds of unknown manufactured 5.56 today and I haven't seen this headstamp before. Any one know the mfg and bullet weight?
Markings: At 12 o'clock: 86 At 6 o'clock: 13 Primer crimp: 3 point Neck crimp: Looks like a taper crimp Notes: No paint on tips of bullets. No NATO cross in circle. Bullets are NOT attracted to a magnet. Casing doesn't appear to be annealed around the neck/shoulder area. OAL is ~2.224" I don't have a bullet puller or scale handy so I don't know bullet weight. Thanks, Indy |

Purple sealant? If so, probably South African.

Likely berdan primed too, so sort them from your other brass and check one before you put one in the press to decap if you reload.
