Possible purchase of DSA FAL...

Hello gents!

I'm a complete acolyte in the world of the FN FAL but I've always been intrigued by them and am pondering purchasing one when/if funds present themself. I've been looking at what DSA has to offer and really like the looks of the G1 FAL and the T48. I especially love the look of wood furniture on these pieces. Does anyone have any experience with either? Does anyone have any pics of these FALs? Would I need to buy directly from DSA or is there a preferred distributor?

Welcome dude.

There is plenty of info here on DSA. There is even a dedicated DSA sub forum lower down on the FalFiles main page.

My advice to you is look around here as there is info in abundance, pics, past experiences, the lot.

Regarding quality I can say this: DSA is the premium seller of FAL receivers and their quality and standard of workmanship is the benchmark against which all other receivers are judged. You can't go wrong with a DSA.

Do a search and you will find lots of pictures and text discussing your interest. Since joining here I have learned a lot and appreciate a source with such knowledge. In addition to DSA there is Entreprise Arms and a few highly regarded builders of FAL's. This is the place to be for those with budding interest or deep rooted addictions to the Right Arm of the Free Word.

Thanks for the replies. I seem to be having difficulty finding owner pics of these two particular DSA offerings but will continue to look.

Ah, thanks for the heads up. I was doing some reading and was a little concerned to see that the DSA T48 and G1 "clones" aren't as faithful to the real thing as they could be. I wonder if I wouldn't be better off with something cheaper though I really like the looks of those two. I'd love to find a FAL that is by all intents and purposes a real military issue piece/parts kit (or an exact clone) albeit being semi-auto only...
