To Parkerize Receiver & Barrel Together?

I have usually broken parts kits into smallest practical components, blasted, and parked. But I am considering installing my barrel on my receiver before Parking for my Izzy HB build. Will there be a problem w/ residual Parking salts remaining in threads or other tight areas?
My gut tells me yes, but just wantin' to get other opinions.

But at times, when we laughed, we grew young. If he was here now, if he could hear what I say, I'd congratulate him on being a great man, and thank him for being a friend.

I do it all the time. Rinse them good in a boiling water bath, and then do the neutralizer thing and you shouldn't have a problem. Ron

I can't recall ever doing one that WASN'T together! Never had a problem with remaining "salts" , rinsing well and flooding with oil post park bath.

I've tried a lot of different things to plug the bore and gas; but have never had much luck... some always seems ta get in somehow

Last time I parked I tried Gunplumber's advice - I didn't plug the bore and swabbed it with a patch as soon as it came out of solution, and then dipped in the boiling water bath, etc. No frosting in bore at all. Ron

park

The only way to go. Eliminates all tooling marks from assembly, ect.

Use a heat gun on the receiver ring/breech area to boil out the excess solution. Then swab away boiled out park solution deposits with a toothbrush and water. Oil, or paint, as preferred.

Like I said, no other way.

Well damn, I've always done them separately.
Good to know I can do it the other way.

Ok, ok. You know what I mean. It's a matter of preference, then....

But I think it looks better when done as a unit.
