Beware THIS IS A SCAM!!!
Several yrs ago I did alot of bizz with Sportsman's guide [before they went corporate] and they sold my name/address to this outfit out of the NW.They sent me a letter saying that given how much outdoor/hunting gear I used they had chosen me for a beta tester. I wes to receive free gear to test and report back. All I ever got was a MAJOR pain in the ass. They sent a "package of paperwork ,a 2"x3" note pad and a rubber key fob. The next month I received a past due notice for supposed payment due and within a week they had turned my"debt" into the credit reporting folks. I never received anything to test and the only communication I could get was to be told "I had received valuable m,erchandise, and supposed disscounts. They sent unfrendly notices for a year with me telling them to get bent and I filed a comp;aint with my states Att General. Don't get sucked in by these assholes. They recently sent me another "invitation " to be a tester. |

+1.
Even after multiple phone calls canceling my membership, I continued to get collection notices. Had to threaten to sue them. Never showed up on my credit report, thankfully. |

Some guys must like it. I always see several different men at every gunshow I work wearing the same leather bomber jacket with their patch on it.

I joined the NAHC mostly to get the magazine. It wasn't long before I started getting "Free" "No Obligation" gifts that were usually a subscription to a book series or future gifts type crap. Free toy or book, no obligation,....I simply didn't answer. As expected after about 3 months my magazines quit coming and the bills and threats began. I called and called till I got to speak with an American with some say so in the whole thing. I told them I would not pay for any unsolicited material and I wanted to cancel my membership and be removed from their mailing list, etc. Took about a month but they finally went away.
Thumbs down to those scamming clowns!!!!! Scott

The North American Fishing club is the same, my brother in law had a membership with them, they sent his all sorts of stuff, told him they were free gifts. They billed him for the stuff, he told them to get lost, they did try to collect, he sent the stuff back, they left him alone.
The fishing club is a bunch of BS, everything they sent him dealt with fishing for catfish, and most of their info was bogus.

I get their packets in the mail with the little tokens to try to get you to join. I keep the stuff, and toss the rest.

They scammed me too. They accused me of keeping a book and not paying for it (I had sent it back within a week of getting it). For a few weeks at a time they would send me a letter about paying for it and figured they just hadn't put it on the board. Then they decide they want to take it to collections. Stupid as it might sound, it was worth the cost to send them the MO along with a letter in which I basically said "Go F--k yourselves, I'm canceling."
Couple weeks later I got a refund and an apology (for me canceling, not for them accusing me of keeping the book). Pricks. |

I never quite understood the logic of joining a club and paying to foot the bill for the hunting trips other guys are going on,that you wished you could go on.
Why not just save your cash and go hunting yourself? |

I told them I would not pay a dime for unsolicited books and stuff sent to me in the mail. I even got a second book in the whitetail wisdom series 6 months after resigning from the club. I told them they would not get the book or any payment from me.
