New DSA 21" barrel questions...

...unwrapped it, threaded it into the new dsa receiver... boink! perfect smooth threading... hand tight at exactly 11:00 what? no wecsoggin'? that just ain't right lol...

looking down the barrel i've got some visible parkerize dribble around the gas port. tried to jb paste it out, brass brush, etc, won't go away... will that shoot out? **update** read the faq... i guess i'm not so concerned... maybe...

another question while i'm here. i notice that the little milled slot thru the first bipod step in the barrel in front of the gas block is always timed off about 5 or 10 degrees off vertical - why is that? I have another dsa with a 16" barrel that has the same...

thanx, mechanicus

Park dribble. 147gr FMJ @ 2500 fps will not even notice it.

Bi-pod limiting tab is offset so you may rotate the rifle to remove and insert a 20rnd mag without lifting up.

ps. polish that chamber, or you might have extraction issues at first.
