DSA terminology
I recently placed an order with DSA and when I check my order status it says"in progress". Is that the new way of saying "on backorder until further notice"? I dont like having to wait 3-6 months for parts,So I was considering, calling tomorrow and canceling my order.

IDK about "in progress" but if you get "permanent hold" then you are in for a long wait. Have you gotten a back order email?

I'd say it is hard to tell.
Earlier this year I ordered about a dozen items from DSA. A week or so later I checked my order and one item was noted as shipped, the rest on permanent hold. Nothing on my order status has changed but when I was back in the US in April I went by my PO box and most of my order was there in one single shipment. Just missing a couple items. |

I personaly think someone actually got smart about their backorder notices and just changed the way they now say" backorder".And I have not yet received a email shipping notification.

Good news! DSA charged me for my paratrooper stock and para sight.I guess they will be here sometime next week.Iwill post details when they finally get here!

DSA orders
Well, Now you know what in progress means. Best thing to do is ask DSA in the future, Everybody ASSUMES what they don't know for sure. Only the manufacture or shipper will know for sure. If you feel a company is bullshitting, Then tell them and cancel the order, Or hurry up and wait. These days alot of companies are stalling people instead of being truthful with a consumer and the main reason is plain and simple, GREED, And those companies know that the internet can ruin their reputation in a millisecond on the internet.
