New Remington 887 Nitromag pump
So the new Remington pump is out. Two models, both called 887 Nitromag. One waterfowl camo, one synthetic black, both with some new polymer coating on the receiver and barrel.
Anyone handled one yet? Looks like the initial naysayers are calling it a Benelli clone. For the price, the synthetic looks like a bargain if it performs like a 870 and handles the 3 1/2s like it claims. MSRP is $399 for plain and $529 for waterfowl camo. on a side note, I love the firearm blog: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2...-887-nitromag/ |

Yeah, I threatened my wife with that one, but I think her next shotgun will be a Mossy 500 youth. The Mossberg has a shorter fore-end to buttstock distance, which fits her better.
I gotta believe the 887 might make a decent upland game bird gun too. The ability to shoot the 2 3/4s and the 3s makes is easy to switch from steel to lead. I wonder when the plastic coated slug barrel will release? |
