New to FAL's...
...but I'm loving this one already. I took it to the range yesterday and was thoroughly impressed by my new pride and joy.
I picked it up from a friend of a friend, in trade. Best deal I've made in quite some time. Now I just need more mags and ammo...cause I see myself shooting this one a lot! *Sorry for the cell phone pics, but I don't have a digital camera at the moment. ![]()

That Sir, is a G1....in my opinion the most handsome of the FAL rifles!
Ordered by Germany just after the war, FN made them 100,000 units. The krauts wanted to licence produce them and when FN told them to fugg off, they threw their toys out of the pram, sold the G1's to Turkey and came up with a CETME derivative to call their own (the H&K G3). Congrats and welcome to the 'files, the spiritual home of the FAL rifle. SIG552
