Best Movie I've seen in awhile.....

DVD rental called "HARD CANDY" It' s first 15 minutes had me wondering if I even wanted to watch this movie...but after that the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat, it was absolutely the best movie I'd never heard of. It is a GREAT psycological thriller with lots of surprises. It is one of the most original movies I've seen come out of Hollywood in years. Two thumbs up

Great flick !
It starts out having you think it's one thing and then does a solid 180 degree turn and accelerates.
Awesome performance by Ellen Page.
Probably not for everybody though.
It's very intense at times with rather disturbing subject matter.

it's on my netflix list right after Get Crazy with Daniel Stern and The 88 Fingers of Dr. T.............just kidding, I don't rent movies, I either buy them or download them for free....

thanks for the recommendation, here's my real one: Impostor with Gary Sinise and Inspector Goren. the ending is not what you expect in a movie today....

The DVD of "HARD CANDY" can often be found in those Wal-Mart bargain bins.

Truly disturbing flick, but in a good way.

Find the youtube video you want, then look to the right - you'll see a little section called "Embed". Copy the data from there and paste it here.

I actually hated this movie.

I thought it had a lot of psuedo intellectual twists and turns that seemed like they'ed amount up to something, but never did, some stuff just happened, and there was a sort of meaningless ending.

Just my two tenths of a dime.

I felt the same way. I got distracted and stopped watching shortly after the halfway mark.

Some people just don't get Psycological thrillers, there isn't an ounce of psuedo intellectual anything in this flick, every scene builds on the plot, the fact that this movie has one, makes it better than 99%of the crap coming out of Hollywood, if you don't pay attention you are lost.............. go back to watching wrestling.

you have just become a real shit-head...you recommend a movie, then when some people don't like it, you deride their ability to understand your precious movie...nice job...

Most of what I watch is intellectually stimulating in some form or another. This movie failed to deliver. I don't have a TV to watch wrestling.

Everyone can say it sucks, that is their perogative. They can even say it sucks for no good reason, or they can say it sucks because it didn't have no titties or gunfights in it......I don't care, but I prefer for people to make valid points. His statement

"I thought it had a lot of psuedo intellectual twists and turns that seemed like they'ed amount up to something, but never did, some stuff just happened, and there was a sort of meaningless ending. "

The movie was about revenge, if they didn't realize what was going on, I can't help them, it seems several others watched it, and liked it as well. Tracy have you watched the movie?

If you haven't, then watch it. You will surely be able to make more intelligent commentary after...................maybe.

Just because I didn't like it doesn't mean I am too stupid to understand it. I understood it just fine, I just felt it didn't have much value. I don't call you stupid for liking it, but I will call you very small minded for thinking no one can have a different opinion than you.

I liked it OK, my wife did not. Kind of a dark plot, but when a bad guy gets his just rewards, the methods do not matter!

if you liked this movie then you should love seeing women get tortured who have done bad things to men.

I kept waiting for Jeff to find his balls (figuratively speaking) and beat that litthe bitch's head in.

What is it about this plot that makes it so tough, The girl gets revenge on the Pedophile's (two) who raped and murdered her sister. Thats it, no psyco babble it is about revenge plain and simple,

"if you liked this movie then you should love seeing women get tortured who have done bad things to men.

Taking the side of a admitted Pedophile, who raped and murdered a underage girl, is about the sickest comment to this thread I could have possibly dreamed of,............. get help newbie

If you like movies with lots of twists and an unexpected ending, you may also like Dream Lover with James Spader. It's a little hard to sit through, but the end makes it all worth it.
