Billings Army Navy Surplus
I recently placed an order with Billings Army Navy Surplus store at
www.go-armynavy.com I wanted a couple of military surplus extreme cold weather sleeping bags. Ours had seen some heavy use by my family and I wanted to start replacing them with better ones. Having seen some pretty rough surplus items for sale thru the years. Especially sleeping bags, (read broken zippers, major torn areas ect). Plus having never done business with these folks before. I was a bit apprehensive to say the least. So I emailed the place asking what shape the bags were in. The owner wrote back that day stating they were in good shape and he would make sure I got good bags. I then placed an order for two bags at 49.00 each just to see what I would end up with. My sleeping bags arrived within a week and were packed very well. When I opened the box I found both sleeping bags to be in mint condition. Not only did they not have any holes and the zippers all worked. But they looked almost new. The color was not even faded. Maybe I got lucky I don't know, but judging from the bags I got I will be ordering some more along with some other things I need. By the way they appear to have a large inventory of things on their web site. If your in the market for surplus gear you may want to check them out. For the record I don't know these folks. I wasn't paid or promised anything to write this review. I just wanted to pass on that I had good service from them. Skeeter!

Did you check inside yet? All of the new ones I've had, came with a small sleeping cap.

Can't believe I didn't see this review before.
I've been going to that store since I was a kid and I didn't know they were on the web now. I guy I work with went to high school with the owner of that place. They are always friendly and helpful in their store. Plus it's in an older building downtown that has some character.

Dirt1042, I have been real pleased with them. They seem to be a good bunch of folks and I intend to keep buying from them as needed.

I don't know why I didn't leave the Army with a couple of the down bags. Momentary dumbass attack, I guess. You can roll 'em up to the size of a football with some practice. Oh well, guess I could say the same for not shipping home a few pallets of ammo too.
