SPF: Excellent FMP G3 Kit with extras $550 shipped
Man, I hate to do this.
Excellent FMP kit with 95% finish and what appears to be unfired bore. Bolt looks like spanking new. All matching numbers. Remnants of old receiver removed from trunion and cocking tube. How "unfired" is this? The cocking tube slot shows zero wear from cocking handle. You will not find a finer kit. Furniture is green slim set and an also an excellent wood HK set. Like new brown leather sling included. Includes US made parts: hammer, trigger, sear, cocking handle (FAC parts) Some mods have already been performed: 1. Shelf welded into trigger pack where auto sear hole used to be. 2. Trigger travel limit pin welded in trigger pack 3. Slot milled in bottom of carrier so it cannot trip auto sear (sharp carbide end mill on a Bridgeport, not a sloppy grinding disc) I have the clip for the trigger housing but did not mod the housing because I wanted to fit it with the receiver to ensure it didn't rattle. Never got a receiver so I never clipped it. Hinge pin holes are intact if you want to keep the full-auto G3 appearance. $550 shipped Byron Last edited by ByronF; November 26, 2008 at 19:44. |

The next time I hear "THE RANGE IS NOW HOT", it just wont be the same. Max tried another question. "What sort of people live about here?" "In THAT direction," the Jin said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Han: And in THAT direction," waving the other paw, "lives a Ming Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad." "But I don't want to go among mad people," Max remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Jin: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Max. "You must be," said the Jin, "or you wouldn't have come here." |

Can you post (or send) pics of the kit, and what work has been done?

My camera isn't cooperating with downloading photos. I'll work on the pics, but someone is likely to come along and take a leap of faith and say "I'll take it", as happened with the G1 kit I posted.
Still available, and I'll throw in several VG aluminum mags if someone buys it before I have to mess with photos. Byron |

Might be going back up for sale if I don't see a money order soon, so other guys who were interested let me know and you'll have first crack if deal falls through. Byron |

Here's the trigger pack notch and shelf welded in. The trigger stop pin is also welded and blended to the pack. And the spring do-dad has been reshaped. Did that a long time ago so I don't recall the particulars but rest assured trigger works perfectly.

Ah, very nice. I can't tell from the pic -- is that a straight cocking tube, or ribbed?

Tube has longitudinal ribs and not tapered at the end. Pretty ignernt about these things but I think this is an early feature? Carrier top is stamped 10/74, is that the date? Bolt looks unfired, all matching. Cocking tub slot still has park on slot edges. I think this was a new rifle that was cut up.

Slotted the bottom of carrier as per semi-auto mod conversion instructions. Used a spanking new carbide end mill so it turned out perfect. Bolt and carrier are as new. Cocking tube is full diameter to the end. Notice how the cocking tube still has perfect park.

Glad he is satisfied. It was a fair trade, though it was difficult to part with.
