Thanks! I pulled a few out that I'd not seen before that we all need to discuss later.

Cool definitely a few I hadn't seen. Very cool to see coalition forces fighting with what i'm assuming are probably dsa fals. Would be great to see more u.s. troops fighting with u.s. made fals.

This is a most unusual FAL. A modified Argentinian sniper rifle. Look where the bipod is mounted.

Copied from the site:

"Aus/Nz methods dont include leaving equiptment, especially weapons behind for the enemy to use. If you have to they must be destroyed ( the L1A1 has a hole under the rear sight that facilitates destruction of the breech block and then you try and cut or crush the rest). A good weapon handling SOP is to always hold it by the pistol grip and to never be more than an arms length away from your person weapon. Do this and you won't lose it or get caught fumbling to try and fire it when suprised. I see alot of photos where soldiers are pointing with their master hand or using a radio and would be unable to fire their weapon quickly. Also Medevac procedures include accounting for and carriage of pers weapons so I would think it unlikely that the VC/NVA captured any. Thing like weapons, radios ect are strictly controlled and no Aussie soldier would like the prospect of explaining the loss (and he would probobly have to pay for it). Buying a negative scanner in a few weeks I have a shot of the L1A1 modfied as a LMG, I forgot what it was called."

hole??
breech block??
