Israeli wood furniture question

Hey guy's I have seen Israeli wood furniture in both the light and in a pinkish, red tone. What's up with the pink?
I ask not only because I am always curious, but also because I have a lb kit I am about to finish that has the pink wood. haven't decided if I am going to use it or replace it with a new set of the light wood.
Thanks!
Davesrb

Maybe the pink furniture is for the female IDF soldiers

Actually it kinda looks the same color as some AK furniture. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Me either! It actually looks better in person, more like the AK wood like fastprofessor said. I have seen some pictures here on the files of some Izzies that had a reddish tint. I just wondered if that was original or not.

That bright pink rifle may be for the Israeli Squad DT (Designated Target). He would certainly draw the fire! Never seen those before. Ron

Looking at your buttstock, near the ferrel, where the tang screw is drilled, I think I see blond coloured wood. Could the be that the wood was stained? Looking close to the cut for the ferrel, I think I see another spot of blond wood, at the cut out for it.

I saw the same on some "walnut" metric handguards where the stain was not applied in one of the screw cut-outs.

Look in the screw cut-out to see the original wood colour.

Best Regards,
Slo cat

Wow! Your truly generous nature humbles me! But I could not take advantage of you in that way. I

will just keep it here as company for it's big brother..

Thanks anyway.

color

Maybe they were trying to duplicate the Ishapore color.
I'm convinced someone did a job on that wood.
Thanks D.
