Galil gas port size?

Anyone know what the gas port size for a 223 Galil should be?

I believe it is 1.8mm at 24 degrees

Is this not dependent on barrel length? (SAR/ARM?)

Not sure, I've never had a chance to play with a SAR.

I use a .078 for the inner hole and a bit the same diameter as the gas block for the outer hole.

see my build tutorial on the notes section of my website.

I expected to have to open the gas port for my 15" barrels but I didn't need to.
