early century imbel

is there any thing to know or look out for on an early century imbel inch cut receiver . I am looking at buying a complete rifle that has a metric barrel and a metric lower and a receiver thats all inch with inch cut mag well.
did century make them like that.

Well Imbel made the receiver that way and then century went on to put them together with apparently any parts they had on hand. I've seen them with metric uppers(barrel) and inch lowers with inch rear sight. Of course the rifle shot high and a simple swap to a metric rear usually fixed the problem. They're not called the "eager beavers" for nothing.
