"New Century Arms receiver for metric FAL build. Carry handle cut and ejector block installed. These are in the white Counts as one US made part in your build. All NFA and 922R rules apply."

In the white. I"d bet these are the same rusty receivers century has been pawning for a few months now for $250. I bought a couple and promptly sent the rusty pitted things back.

I have been in their store several times, never saw anything 'rusty' in that manner. They have a significant inventory of Mausers, Enfields etc, in various condition and price ranges.

Hey, 270, go check it, but don't wreck it. I was gonna tell Greg to calm down, and not send 'em back, but he was too pissed off.

They look awfully rough, all crusty and rusty, but I had this dude sandblast one, and then blue it.

I had him sandblast, and then polish bright, and then blue another one.

The polished one is teh coolest, but the matte one is teh cool, too.

They went together just fine, I had an STG lower that was blued, so it mated up real nice, I'm glad I didn't send it back, cuz I was all pissed off.

Only cost $25 for the blue job, which is pretty good, because if I want a good blue job, after buying drinks and dinner and flowers and candy, I'm out more like $60.

Here's the link to the earlier thread on these "in the rust" receivers.

http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showt...hreadid=224226

Yep I was plenty mad at Century for not advertising these for what they were. I thought about refinishing them, but I don't have the tools to do it myself, and it would have been too costly to hire it out. On a positive note, Century refunded the total cost including shipping.

Ce's right, they can be cleaned up and refinished, and would probably make decent receivers, but you better ask what they look like before you order one over the phone and end up with a rusty surprise. Caveat emptor.
