Whos allowed in the Shot Show?

Military, Cops, People "In the industry". I know this is a stretch, But Can people in the Fire Protection Industry get in? The reason I ask is that My ffl Was going to give me a pass, But They went out of business. I doubt I would buy much more than a shirt or a small amount of accessories. Any suggestions?

C&R FFLs are invited to get credentials. $30 for 3 years for that license.

Almost nothing is for sale at the show. You can make orders, assuming you have a vendor/retail contract with a vendor/exhibitor.

This isn't to say that you can't buy a one-off item (a guy I'm here with bought the two kayaks from a small company because they'd rather sell them than ship them back across the country), but you aren't showing up and buying guns, mags, knives, gear, clothing from any of the big or medium names. Can you buy a $20,000 Circassian Walnut rifle stock blank from the guys in Carlsbad, CA? Sure. Are you showing up and buying stuff from Eagle, Sure-Fire, Sig, Benchmade, etc? No way.

Best/easiest way is to have C&R license, but if you go to the SHOT Show website, you will see about 25 categories that your business/line-of-work falls into. They actually asked for my business tax id number on the application, so they aren't just handing the passes out.

I didn't buy a thing last year, but it was well worth the price of admission. Rumor has it they're coming back to Orlando next year. I'll go again.

I've gone 2-3 times. It is NOT a retail show, strictly wholesale.
Dealers and distributors are there to cut deals with the manufacturers.

It is however, an excellent place to browse all the new goodies, but don't expect to be taken very seriously unless your badge is from one of the major distributors or retailers.
