Serbian .308?

Acquaintance of mine brought some to the range the other day. Brass rat that I am, I collected the empties. Head stamp has three Cyrillic lookin' letters and .308 WIN on it. Boxer primed. Worth reloading? If not, it will go in the scrap bucket. TIA

Larry

Boxer primed.... where's the issue. Absolutely reload it. Worse case scenario, you only get 2 or 3 loadings out of it before it goes in the scrap bin. It's still worth it.

Or - when you think that loading X will be the last loading, load it and put it in your SHTF stash. The next time you fire it, picking up your brass will be the least of your worries. A few rounds here and there will eventually add up.

letters look like nny by any chance?

If so, it's Prvi Partizan & fine for reloading - some feel that the brass is a little on the soft side but I haven't noticed yet.

I went to Academy yesterday during lunch and saw two different types of Monarch - 150gr SP in brass ($12.95/20) and 145gr FMJ in what appears to be lacquered steel ($7.75/20).

I opened them up and saw the "nny" headstamp - I bought 2 boxes of the brass-cased stuff because I know it's boxer-primed as well as 1 box of the steel (as much as I dislike Wolf-type stuff, I still want to experiment with a mag-full through my FAL).
