RG: Questionable DOM?

Found a couple of cases of Radway Green in a local shop but, I can't remember the date on the ammo that is questionable. Have heard the rumor that some of it sucks. Is it '84? '85? Thanks

RG 85 is good. I have shot a lot of it with good results, uniform, accurate out of my L1A1.

Dunno about 84.

Fred (the M-14 stock guy who advertises in SGN) mentioned some RG with split necks in his ads last fall, but didn't mention the date. It is Berdan primed, not often reloaded, so that shouldn't matter. A quick inspection of any cartridge before it goes in my guns is in order, and a split neck is easy to spot if it is bad enough to cause a problem.
